The Process of Success

by Anthony Pasquale

One's levels of success, or lack thereof, is sometimes predicated upon their past performance levels of accomplishment, failures and/or pitfalls. Some may be considered to have better "luck" than others, but in fact, that so called "luck", or advantage point, is generally a creation or willingness of the individuals to seek out and find, or create for themselves! The process of success begins in the mind. Oftentimes, this is the reason the road to success or advancement, can cause so many individuals to quit or be hindered in their enthusiasm to drive forward, in their dreams or desires. There are definitely times when simply being at the right place at the right time is true, but generally speaking, and simply put, you must create, or be aware of what it is you really want before you can actually attain, accomplish or acquire it. Simply WISHING doesn't cut it! Most don't stick with a plan or idea, long enough to get the job done, and/or based on what they've done or started to do, and never finished, they will continue to do the same, if "sub-consciously"; they base the outcome on past performance of that same level.

Yes, we are a result of what we've done in the past, but, we are not limited to those rules or boundaries. Our current being is based on yesterday's performance, and is in fact the, who we were, not who we are! It is a mind game to say the least. Convincing one's old mindset to a new and more improved and extra successful mind set is an ever constant battle for most people. The reason is, as I stated earlier, we think as ourselves based on past performance. In order to see ourselves as more productive and more successful requires the ability to think as those who are already successful in order to become more successful ourselves.

For example, before taking on a new project or adventure, and allowing your Sub conscience mind, to take over and allow failure or disappointment, as maybe you've previously experienced. Try this!. First ask yourself, just what a successful person in the same field or situation might do under those similar circumstances. If you don't know, act as if you do, assume the role of that person and use all resources available to you, which in fact, are limitless. The fact is, that those same resources that are available to that super successful person, are available to you. We never have a lack of resources, but a lack of resourcefulness!!

Role models and human modeling are very helpful in overcoming obstacles and roadblocks in our endeavors. Put yourself in the place of people, who never take, "NO" for an answer, never, say never, and won't quit until the job is done! Don't allow your past failures, no matter how small they may seem, inhibit your ability to succeed, or achieve your dream!!
